Need opinions on Kilt choices
Do I go with a red, black and green......or a Blue, Black and silver??? Goin to a big retirement party on tuesday night!!!

10. That makes it even tougher. I would think that you could wear either with that coloring.--
Is either tartan a family tartan? Stick to whichever is a family tartan (if that's the case). If either is a "dress" tartan that would be a good choice for such an occasion.

That's how I found my family's tartan and the family crest. It was pretty cool.

TartanStore.net's Material Finder...

There's also a forum for kilt-wearers called X Marks the Scot. They have gallery pages over there, too, with pictures of casual kilts all the way up to full-on formal kilts. (The forum also has its own tartan, even!)


I've been looking at kilts myself a lot lately. Can you tell? :P Thinking about getting a casual one later in the year (right now I'm all pasty-legged 'cause it's winter and I have no tan)--I still need to check with my employer and find out if it's okay for me to wear one to work.
