Speaking of marriage...
Who's currently married?

Who's previously been married?

Who's planning on getting married within a year?

Me, currently enjoying my second marriage of eight years, first lasted four and I was happier at the divorce than at the wedding.

2. Well, I got married in San Francisco.
But then it was over-turned. We still consider ourselves married, but the law states otherwise.

10. Thanks.
Get this: we first became Domestic Partners in NYC. Then flew out to SF to get married. When we moved to NJ we registered, again, as Domestic Partners. And now, we have the option to have a Civil Union. Kind of silly if you ask me.

Also, I'll be looking for my invitation once the time comes...

Yeah, I know what the law states. But you have every right to consider yourselves married. And congratulations to you and your husband. :-)

When the history of same-sex marriage is written, Gavin Newsom will be one of the heroes.

38. Of course we are and thank you.
We got married, ran to our flight, and by the time we got home to NYC, California had put a stop to the marriages. Talk about down to the wire...

I love Gavin for giving us the opportunity to stand inside City Hall and bawl our eyes out as we exchanged vows. And history will be very kind to him.

31. They are total opposites so it might actually work
One (the guy) is an old high school buddy who never quite grew up and the other is way too serious about things and is the type that seriously thinks (when making various decisions), "what would God want me to do?"

Then again they might kill each other :scared:

...some of you saw the other thread I posted this past weekend. Known him for 24 years, married almost 15 years, and it's been crappy off and on for five years (mostly on). I wouldn't be surprised if my status changes some time in the near future. It's the only time I've ever been married, and I never, ever plan on doing it again. :yoiks:

And recently we've been having some difficulties.....

But I do believe that we will conquer them....and stay married....

I'm not ready to move out.......I have nowhere to go.........

And neither does he....

We really love and respect each other........a lot of history!

So...we're communicating, and this is a good thing.......
