L.A. Dodgers Introduce All-You-Can-Eat Seats
<snip>

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are giving fans something to cheer about.

Right field at Dodger Stadium used to feature cheap seats. This year, there will be lots of food and seats that are no longer cheap.

The Dodgers are introducing all-you-can eat seats next season. They are converting their right-field pavilion into all-you-can-eat bleachers. Fans in the right-field pavilion will have as many franks, peanuts, popcorn, nachos and sodas as they want.

About 3,000 seats will cost $35 in advance and $40 on game day with the all-you-can-eat special.

But not everything will be on the house. Fans still have to buy their own beer, ice cream and candy at regular prices.

There are other limitations. The food booths open 90 minutes before games and close two hours after it begins. And if someone asks for 100 Dodger Dogs, that won't fly.

Left field tickets, meanwhile, will sell for $10.

1. Cardinals have had this for a while.
$60 seats that include all you can eat hot dogs, brats, nachos, soda, AND BEER! Food and beer service starts 30 minutes before game time, and concludes in the 8th inning. but well worth the price!

6. There must be a limit on the number of beers
otherwise, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

8. No, I did it last year.
they give you a plastic cup, about 12 ounces. you can go back for refills as many times as you like.

I assume that if the person serving beer thought you had had too many, they could cut you off.

10. But the Cardinals also are heavily sponsored by Anheiser Busch
thus the beer being included.

I have heard that at both the Cardinal's new stadium and Miller Park (home of the Brewers) that beer is really cheap, comparatively to other sports venues.

12. Cheap beer? no way.
But I do know that Miller Park also has "food and beer included" seating.

Regular beers at Busch Stadium are $8.25 for a 24 ouncer. They actually had the balls to raise the price for the world series games, too.

5. Because America doesn't have enough overweight, slovenly lardasses
And still, we continue to ask that annoying question, "Why do they hate us?"

7. Great - long lines will keep consumption down
I HATE when they have "dollar dog days" at the park, because then you can't buy ANYTHING because of the lines. We normally bring our own lunch/dinner (we are lucky to be able to do that - one of the few parks that still allows it), but the one day we didn't have time it was "dollar dog day" and we were screwed. Finally found a stand that DIDN'T serve hotdogs and got a bad $7 cheesesteak.

13. They need to jack up attendance
Last year, they drew only 3,758,421 fans — a scant 46,400 per game — the most in baseball for like the brazillionth straight year.

They just aren't making enough money.

18. So the seats each cost $25 more?
Even at stadium food prices, you'd have to eat a hell of a lot for that to be a bargain.

I go to football games with my Dad all the time. We don't spend $50 on food for the two of us, and that's with the damn $8.50 beers.
