Good Monday Morning
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was really nice. My mom and her bf visited me. Yesterday we went to a butterfly "show" and the weather was so nice we sat in a botanic garden and got a sunbath. And that in JANUARY!!!! In GERMANY!!!!

Friday I surprised them with a dinner, all cooked by me. We had as salad cottage cheese (with curry) on roquette with avocado and shrimp. As main dish Pasta with an avocado pesto. And as desert a orange cream.

Saturday we had a stewed chicken with potatoes and apple in red wine sauce. And as desert bananas in a coat of breadcrumbs fried in a pan.

So how was your weekend?

8. Morning MissH!
I'm up rather early this morning. We're under a winter storm warning and I'm hoping that I won't have to go into work today. It doesn't look just too bad out there right now. We did get some snow but I was hoping for more by now. I'll wait a while and call a friend. When weather's bad we car pool into work together. I'm hoping she'll choose not to drive. LOL

Sounds like you had a nice weekend with your mom and her bf. The should be honored to have their own personal chef! Your menus sound wonderful.

My weekend was great. Went to an indoor water park. What fun!

:hi: :loveya:

10. I was about to say you are up early
but that explains it. I cross my fingers that there will be more snow within the next hour or so :)

They were honored. My mom was really taken aback. She didn't expect anything like that and was amazed and loved the dinner I chose.

Indoor Water Park?? That sounds like a lot of fun too.

:hi: :loveya:

11. I love to cook
too, but don't always have the opportunity to cook for someone. It just makes the cooking experience more special with guests, and it sounds like yours were most appreciative.

The indoor water park was a blast. We spent Saturday night there, so we took full advantage of the park both Saturday and Sunday. It's nice to do something like that here in the dead of winter. And I just love water sports anyway, although water park activities really doesn't come under that category.

12. Well, you have to climb the ladders
to jump into the water, so it is kind of a sport

Yes, the dinner was appreciated. And I loved to surpris them. I normally cook for myself as well but of course to try out new stuff it is more fun to cook for someone else or to cook with someone else. I need to get me a bf to do that more often  Next step: Tomorrow evening.

13. Thank you.
You justified that nicely for me.

Yes, cooking for men can be nice. But I've always found cooking with men can be very sensual. That's what I need, a bf who likes to cook too. Or maybe I should lower my expectations. Look for a bf who likes to eat.

I'm going to hit the shower and then check to see if there's any school closings, but I'll drop in here after that.
