This town is in mourning this today. San Diego.
Half of my co-workers called in sick. People are walking around with a 3000 yard stare. My San Diego born and raised kids arent talking to me. My ex left me a "F**k You" voicemail. My boss doesnt want to talk to me...
And it all because MY NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS BEAT THE CHARGERS!

Go Pats!

6. The Chargers "Lost" that game. Dumb penalties..
and a failure to execute when the you really need someone to make a play, a coach that goes on 4th and 11 in the first qtr, a coach that challenges an obvious call and burns a valuable 4th qtr time-out.
They are a good young team and i expect great things from them in the future.
New England, in spite of playing a mediocre game, executed when they needed to.
Its a shame that LT whined and complained about how "unsportsmanlike" the Pats were for dancing on the field after the victory.
They just copied the same dance that Charger Shaun Merriman does after every sack.
You had a great year LT. Now suck it up!

7. I want to see a New Orleans bowl. Saints vs Peyton Manning.
And I want a lot of closeups of Archie as he is torn between his son and the team and city he gave his life to. For that matter, I want to see closeups of Peyton as he plays his home city, with his acute knowledge of what a loss would mean to New Orleans.

Hmm.... That might be so sad, maybe I should cheer for New England... EGADS, I didn't just say "cheer for New England" did I? Excuse me, must go punish myself.

4. Pshhh. Rookies.
Dallas fan here. We've won and lost so many Super Bowls, a season is just another game to us.

I wonder, though. Are all these people reacting badly to San Diego losing, or to your gloating?

8. SD losing. I'm not gloating.
I actually LOVE the Chargers. They are my SECOND FAVORITE team in the NFL. I just happen to hail from Boston and lean toward my hometown loyalties. No gloating.

5. That's how I felt all evening, last night.
I bet they feel like crap- those games were so nail biting close, both of them!!

My favorite teams in order,

1. Seattle Seahawks

2. San Diego Chargers

It was a BAD day for our teams.

But I would still talk and be nice to you.

Hell, my SO is a rabid Bears fan and
my son is a Patriots fan, so I have to
be flexible.

My poor cats can't wait for football season to end.
The hooting, hollering and screaming every Sunday
is driving them nuts. They leave the house and
come back well after the game is over.
