Just messing with ya'. I'm from Texarkana originally (a Nevadan now), and am planning to move to Arkansas -- Little Rock or Hot Springs -- in the next few years. My daughter is already planning on going to the University of Arkansas, or maybe Hendrix, if it's not too conservative and if she can get a scholarship.

The grand plan is to finish up my doctorate, go out to the U of A, and send my kid there for free.

One set of parents live in Texarkana, the other in Hot Springs Village, and my family has some property in the Ozarks around Mt. Ida, so I'd like to stay close to them. Hot Springs seems good, because it's close to both of them and Fayetteville. Little Rock has an airport, plus culture. Saw "The King and I" there over the Christmas break, and it was as good as anything I've ever seen in any other city.

For all of its problems, Arkansas really is the greatest place I've ever been to. Except maybe Hawaii. But that's a whole other thread.
