Edited on Tue Jan-16-07 04:41 PM by Cyrano
Boris Karloff and Bela Lagosi are dead. Jack Nicholson does great maniacs, but he's now too old for the part.

So who could do it? About the only one I can think of is Gary Oldman. If you don't know who he is, he played the terrorist in "Air Force One," the doped up DEA agent in "The Professional," the faceless, soulless man in "Hannibal," and Lee Harvey Oswald in "JFK." He does great accents and great villains.

So if you were the casting director, who would you choose?

41. I vote for him as well.
Everyone else who tries to do Duh-bya on SNL ranges from suck to blah. Though Darrell Hammond pretty much nails every other politician impression.

13. At least I know who can play Cheney. Richard Dreyfus played a Republican
senator in "The American President" with Michael Douglas and Annette Benning. He even looked like Cheney and was as devious, disgusting and evil as "Shotgun Dick."

There has to be someone around who could nail down Bush's character that perfectly.

Edited on Tue Jan-16-07 05:40 PM by myrna minx
His performances in those films are just amazing. :hi: I must admit that I first noticed him when he was in Sid and Nancy, (I was a little goth girl when that film came out) but then I devoured everything else that I could find him in after his wonderful performance in that film.

On edit: I bet he's a rock star for the under 16 crowd, now that he plays the Sirius Black character in the Harry Potter films.

I don't think any live actor (unless they were planning on committing career suicide) would take the job.

28. Not true. Any actor who can convincingly play a demented sociopath
like Bush would probably end up with an Academy Award. Think Anthony Hopkins in "Silence of the Lambs."

29. Hannibal Lector was intelligent, intelligible,
logical and focused. The psycopathic cannibalism was just a quirk. :hide:

I think playing a DUMB, unintelligible, illogical, scattered, demented sociopath would be too hard for anyone.
