Smatchy began as an MBA class project at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Our fearless professor created a unique algorithm that measured how similarly people answered questions and challenged us to make something useful out of it.

Overwhelmed by the content available on the Internet, but disappointed with the lack of accuracy in recommendations and communication in general, we decided to use the technology so that people of like minds could find each other. The result is Smatchy, a unique social network that uses your responses to enhance communication, communicate suggestions, and suggest friends."
