GAH! I quit my job!

I did it--for the first time in my life I quit my job without having another lined up. I am no longer working for Da Man! I will raise MG Jr. and do some freelance writing and editing, but I am now flying without a net (read: weekly paycheck).

This is probably the most exiting but terrifying thing I've ever done! Even trumps the glider ride. And driving in New York City. And childbirth without any drugs.

Well, maybe it doesn't trump that last one. :evilgrin:

I will write just about anything for the right price. I do fiction to amuse myself; I've written interviews/profiles, feature stories, catalog content, Web site content, and advertizing schmutz of all sorts. I was a columnist at a (now defunct) Webzine for a while--I think that was my favorite kind of writing--goofy rambling that eventually arrived at a point and entertained along the way.

When I decided my mental health was more important. My best advice is to keep all options open and follow your gut.
