Or did you just move there this year? Sadly, my memory loses track of who's in NYC and who's asking about moving there...

Anyway, I'm glad you are getting snow! And that it's exciting to you to see it for the first time!

I remember some Hawaiian kids who were in their teens when they first experienced snow (on the mainland) and had a totally joyous and hilarious romp in it!

4. Born here, but moved back here a few months ago.

We left a year after I was born, so I have no menory of it snowing back then. :D

7. Okay then. You need to know a few things.

Snow is wet.
Snow is cold.
If the snow is too dry, you won't be able to make a snowball.
If the snow is less than six inches deep, do not try to make a snow angel or go sledding.

I had a classmate in college from the Phillipines and he was disappointed to learn all of the above.
