Big Brother Loves You

A dark alley and dirty slums
This is paradise they say
Gunshots in the distance
Bullet holes in windows
A man sleeping on a park bench
Welcome to the American dream

You get to chose what to watch
It’s between CBS and Fox
Isn’t that enough?
It’s very Un-American to disagree
Just shut up and watch your T.V

Not happy you say?
We have just the thing
They come in little pills you see
And they fix that chemical imbalance (we think)
To drown away the blues
But only if you have insurance
Don’t like it? Go to Canada

Those damn wetbacks are crossing
And I’m pretty sure I saw two gay guys kissing
We can’t let people who love each other
Marry, can we?
Don’t question me
Just be happy that you are free

You ungrateful bastard
Don’t you know people have died for you?
And they will keep on dying
So you can drive your SUV
Down to the movie theater
No, no, don’t see that movie
Don’t you know Michael Moore’s a liar?

We did it all for you
For your security
Don’t you agree? (You better)
What we did was the right thing to do
Why would I ever lie to you?
