1. Freezing
The cold snap has hit the entire country. In CA, it's not as bad as the rest of the country. But we don't have any "antibodies" for that kind of weather either.

Its no big thing for it to get cold where I live. I am surprised there is no snow on the ground up here by now.

My friend in South Carolina told me how warm it was down south this weekend.

6. I was born in Ct., but left when I
was just three years old, navy brat, father stationed in New London. I've always wanted to go back and see what it was like, very beautiful country I'm sure.

3. Finally warming up!
It's raining now, starting to melt off all the snow we got today. It's been quite cold but it'll be up near 50 in a couple days.

5. 18 here in Durango
but this morning it was -2 according to my car. I was surprised the heater didn't break, the way the display faded in and out for several seconds after I started the engine. Fortunately, I wasn't in Gunnison (not that far from here), where it was -35.

But tomarrow looks good. All the way up to +20 :scared:

12. Oh, quit yer whining!
It's about 3 degrees according to the outside thermometer here in Chicago and still dropping, and I have to take the dog out. :scared:

Luckily, I grew up here in the northern midwest, so I'm used to it. As long as I have my Eddie Bauer down storm jacket, I'm fine. I was even sweating when I walked to the bus stop this morning. :-)

17. We have snow here!!!!!!!
I live on Southern Vancouver Island and it hardly ever freezes or snows here. But, man, the last few days we've had temperatures as low as -13 Celcius, which is about 0 F, AND we have about 6 inches of snow. Because I live in balmyville we don't have snowplows and it takes days to get salt on the roads. It's kind of funny - West Coasters in their Birkenstocks struggling around in the snow.:bounce:
