Someone stop me - I have now made a pair of capri pants for my daughter!
In four days I have made a skirt, and a pair of capri pants. I have laid out the pattern pieces for another skirt (this one is for me).

1. Congrats!
I'd love to make my own clothes, but sewing machines and I have an...uneasy...relationship. :scared:

3. I used to as well.
I hated sewing in high school. Now that I am older, I seem to have more patience.

9. Yeah that'll feed that habit.
If you've got the talent go for it and get experienced. Follow your interests.

8. It is.
And it is a constructive hobby. Not that being on DU is destructive, but it does eat up a lot of my time.

10. Back in the day, I used to sew a lot...
I had a very simple shirt......

Short or long sleeved, pullover.......no darts, buttons or zippers.....

The short sleeve version took me two hours to make, start to finish!

I still have a closet full of them!

But they are harder to put on now, since my shoulders don't work too well...

Back in the day......

11. You are on a roll!
I love to sew. I should get off the computer & do it more often. :)
