12. Although I'll add...
that physical appearance has a lot to do with the connection, especially person's #3 and #5.

4. Nope. The first one's still alive.
But there's a deeper more pop culturally significant connection among them. It's very specific to those five.

OK, maybe it's not "significant" but it's amusing.

10. That could be a give away clue.
The first three are popular musicians from the sixties and seventies.

The fourth is a famous jazz saxophonist.

The fifth is a film actor.

Will give names in a bit if nobody can identify them.

The fourth is John Sims, the fifth is Robert Strauss.

Although names are important clues with #1, #2, #4, and #5.

There's a name involved with #3, but it's not "George Harrison." It's George Harrison in the picture, yeah, but that's not the name involved with the clue. If you can picture that.

28. Alright, first, identify the five people pictured.
Including their nicknames.

If they haven't got nicknames, think of famous names associated with their work.

16. The guy on top...
Is Malcolm "Dr. John" Rebbenack. Popular singer/songwriter/pianist, did some work with Carly Simon, James Taylor, The Band, etc. Also wrote the jingle for "Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits" commercial. Was involved with a Katrina relief charity in 2005, playing "Walking to New Orleans" with Fats Domino.

The guy on bottom is Robert Strauss. Arguably best known for a small but colorful role in Stalag 17, the comedy about a nazi prison camp.

And especially his connection to the final answer.

That's not a slur on Strauss. That's an important clue.

Although that would have been a heck of a show.
