Debit card robbery and dog vomit
I don't mean to complain, but I had a crappy two days. I found out this weekend that someone stole my debit card info to the tune of $1000. And while I was entertaining a new client at my home today, who arrived with two minutes notice, the dog starting throwing up huge heaps of undigested materials. Right next to us. And not to exaggerate, but these pools of vomit were the size of a small Jetta. pic below...Just kidding

And then he, the dog, not the client, went into my daughter's bedroom and threw up all over her only winter jacket. And she was leaving in ten minutes for a four hour bus ride back to college in frigid Boston. Which I scrubbed off the the best I could,. And then I sent her dad to bring her to the bus station, only the new debit card we had didn't work and he had to borrow money from her to buy gas so he could get back home. She now has a cash balance of $13.

On top of this, when the new client visited here today, the house looked like the set for Animal House II. I just talked to him, and he thought the whole thing was very funny and offered me cash up front because of our debit card problems.

2. Our only thought
is that my husband used the debit card overseas. He just got back from China and had bought some gifts in HK using the debit card. There is no way they could have gotten the numbers locally where I live. I only use the card for gas and groceries and never for on-line purchases. I use a credit card with a $500 limit if I buy something on-line.

3. I hope someone in your area hasn't set up card info stealing devices
at gas stations. Two men were doing this around here last year, until they were arrested.

I hope your dog is okay. My dog barfs so rarely, when she was hacking and barfed a bit for a day or two, and ate grass, I wondered why. The answer revealed itself in a dried "grass ball"(like a hairball from a cat) in the back yard...she had eaten part of a rubbery stretchy toy. :( She's been fine, so her natural remedy took care of it!

4. I know what he barfed
I brought some kindling in the house to dry and he got a hold of it. Mostly dried pieces of wood and bark in the vomit and some kibbles.
Nope, my guys at the gas station are cool. The people that stole from my debit account were an Italian telephone company.

6. The theives also could have just copied down our numbers
in a store where my husband used at their store and used them for an on line transaction where they didn't ask for the secret code numbers on the back. That is my thought. But thanks so much for the snopes write up.!
