Remember how you always thought it would be so cool to work at the Zoo?

3. Young man joins the circus as it comes through town
a year later he returns and all his old friends want to hear about the fantastic travels and stories he has to tell.

One asks about how he joined the circus.

The guy says, "Well I went into the big top and found the ringmaster and asked for a job. He handed me a washtub and a hose and pointed me towards the elephants"

"So you are an elephant trainer?" asked one of his friends adoringly

"Well that's what I thought. About half an hour later the ringmaster came running across the sawdust floor screaming at me so I asked him what was the matter. He wanted to know what I was doing so I explained that I thought I was supposed to train the elephant. (the guy had been whipping the elephant trying to get it to stand on the overturned washtub) the ringmaster then told me that I was supposed to give the elephant an enema so it was cleaned out for the show that night. And I have been doing it ever since"

The stunned group of friends just sat and starred at him. Finally one of them asks, "I can't believe that is what you do for a living. Have you ever thought of getting another job"

and the guys says

"What, and get out of show business?!?!?"
