Last night I dreamed there were two robotic dragons fighting in the sky. They bascially killed each other and crashed into the city. I went to the area where they crashed and found a crowd of people. They all said it was an earthquake, because thats what the cops had told them and no-one would believe me that it was two robotic dragons. When I got home I picked up our parrot and his feathers were all brand new as though he had just been born, but he was fully grown.

Weird neh?

The police telling false stories -- is the automation of information technology that can be easily manipulated by those in power.
You parrot with new feathers -- is the possibility that genetic engineering technology will pollute life's gene pool and end our existence.

The robotic dragons could be representative of either the left and the right duking it out at the government and social level, or symbolic of the various oppositional cultural and political groups sparring around the globe. The police lying about it and nobody believing what you witnessed suggests your awareness of the way that institutions and the populace are largely ignorant and dishonest about the fascist tides threatening to engulf us all.

The parot being inexplicably "reborn" is interesting. Sounds almost phoenix-like. Maybe it represents your own desire to be reborn anew, despite feeling you are too old for such a regeneration, with a host of new solutions to (or at least a braver face against) your fears about our dangerous future.
