My other Grandmother kept a holy water dispenser by her door at her apartment. I always thought it was cool how different my Grandmothers were.

My father's mother was an amazing woman and my mother's mother was Satan's Bride.

3. Both of my grandmothers could cook better than any tv hack I've ever seen
I hope that there's a heaven so that I can have some fried chicken and biscuits with gravy with my grandparents one day. You can have your pearly gates, I want chicken!

8. One of my grandmothers was a city mouse, the other a country mouse.
Well, okay, they weren't mice, but you get the idea.

One wanted to make sure I had the right clothes and my nails were manicured.

The other wanted me to help her with the farm chores, digging up potatoes and shellin' butterbeans.

Both wonderful in their own ways.

My maternal Grandmother is still alive and I drive her to walmart and her DR. appointments. I treasure every minute I get doing that. Although she does move kind of slow...LOL

12. LOL
I think it's the generation thing. We went to go get .99 whopper juniors from burger king the other day, and my Grandmother thought they were .50 cent sandwiches. I had to tell her, "No Grandma, they are a dollar a piece. She didn't mind paying it but she really thought they were .50 cents.

13. My Paternal Grandmother was an Ass Kicking Flapper
who lived to be 90 and got drunk at my wedding and had a blast!

My maternal Grandmother died when I was a baby, alas...

14. Awww, sorry about your maternal Grandmother
My maternal Grandmother still drinks scotch and water on the week-ends and will have a martini or two when she is at my Mother's or out gambling. I love mixing my 80-year-old Grandmother a martini.

15. My maternal Granny kept
her cash in her brassiere and her red nightgown in tissue paper in a bureau drawer "for good." I loved my Granny (RIP).

16. Great pic!
Cash in the brassiere--I think I remember that one of my grandmothers did that too. She also had mysterious places that she would keep candy for us grandkids. Like a magician she would pull a piece or two of candy out of the blue it seemed like.
