Announcement! I have now downloaded and installed Turbo Tax!
Edited on Sun Apr-08-07 02:44 PM by crispini
Furthermore, I have gotten as far as making one (1!) tax-based decision, namely, that I will accept the standard $30 refund for the Federal Telephone Excise Tax, rather than putting myself through all of the drama and angst of downloading approximately 10,000 old phone bills from AT&T's website.

However, I can't contemplate getting up and going to look for my W2's at the moment, so I am done until a fresh burst of energy appears.

Done your taxes yet?

2. Umm...*checks calendar*
You should be getting a refund, no? Being a homeowner and all?

I did my taxes back in February. Spent the refund on a new a/c and furnace. :D

3. You better hurry!
I did my taxes in March and that is the latest I've ever done them. I had a feeling that I was going to owe this year which probably accounts for the delay. It turned out that my tax bill for local, state, and federal combined was about $1700.

4. I used Turbo Tax for both Federal and State
this year- I spent very little time and money, and I got nice returns on both. An excellent experience and it was less painful than most other years.

7. I adore Turbo Tax!
It's the finding of the paperwork that is the problem. :P

5. I went in to work last Monday and did the entire thing online
at their site. Fed and State was over in 20 minutes.

8. Smiling in mid-April -- already done
I used TurboTax a few weeks ago to do my taxes. It was fairly easy, except for collecting all those little pieces of paper. Even though we keep them in a folder, there always seem to be some missing.

The day after I came down with a bad cold and was out of work for almost two weeks. I hope this was just a coincidence.

We got one of our refunds back already.

11. Did mine yesterday, and I used TurboTax for the first time...
Probably didn't need the software, as our taxes are simple, but I figured I'd get some practice for when we actually have money... :)

13. Not yet. I bought a printer and I am doing them tomorrow. Yuk!
I always dread this! And put it off until the last possible moment! Usually the day before they are due. This year, I will be "early".
