Some terrific news and a treat for your ears!
Hello my friends. Some of you are familiar with a poem I wrote few months ago, titled "A Carpenter's Daughter". That poem was recently chosen to be featured in the first edition of a brand-new literary webzine devoted to poems and prose that are worthy of being read aloud. It's called "Soundzine", and was created by a small team of well-known poets and writers from www.deviantART.com

The reading turned out absolutely beautiful. One of the creators of the zine (Salli Shepherd) decided to read my poem herself, and the result is just...wow. She has a lovely voice.

I'd love nothing more than to share this with all of you, so if you'd like to hear my poem being read aloud, please click on the following link and push the "Play" button at the top of the screen. If you have the time, I recommend checking out some of the other pieces being featured in this edition. They're all amazing.

7. This is destined for greater things
I was quite moved the first time I read it, and very impressed with your... I don't even want to call it "talent," because that rings rather like a 12-year-old's piano recital. You've been annointed by Calliope.

I only wish you'd done the reading rather than someone not connected to it. It's of your heart, after all, and your dad's.

Bravo. Author.

8. I have a terrible voice for reading poetry
But more importantly, I'm not capable of reading this aloud without choking up and crying. I tried--I just couldn't back away from it enough to do it.

9. That would make it even better
Just not for their audience, I guess.
