1. OK babe
here is what you do if you live in Florida.

RIGHT NOW : pack your car and head to Colorado. NOW.

There is no escape from the fearmongering that you will hear for the next six months.

I went through Georges, Dennis, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma (and others who have been forgotten. EVERY last damn one of them was hyped to the skies before it hit. SOme actually were more than they said. Most were not.

Stay cool. We'll all be fine. Or not.:hi: :scared: :pals: B-)

3. Try to stay safe! I love Florida! I wish I could live there. I once lived on Anna Maria Island.
I loved it! Also lived in Fort Walton Beach. Could never make a go of it there. :-( I was in Florida during Hurricane Andrew, that is when I lived in Ft Walton Beach. We got some high winds and waves.

5. Well, at least we know when they are coming...
unlike earthquakes. I don't think I'd enjoy living with those swords hanging over my head.

9. Yup, starts June 1. I'm looking forward to it!
Hurricane days are the South Florida version of snow days ... well, except when your house gets destroyed. Then it's not so good. But other than that, it's a bit like camping. Just be prepared! I've got enough beer and water on hand to last me a couple weeks!

12. I pray for the levies in NOLA...
If they break again, those poor people are screwed because they're not going to even try to bring it back.
