every start a little project, household chore and have it snowball into something bigger?
Our project for this weekend is to get the side porch set up for use during the summer. This means cleaning off everything that was stored out there over the winter...
to make room for some of the stuff to be stored in the cellar means moving the outdoor furniture - outdoors. to do this, we first have to clean off the patio.
here's where it really snowballs - the "patio" is a small cement pad and has collected a pile of debris from leaves/sticks to wood chips from splitting cord wood. around the patio, the grass is gone, it's either dirt or mud. in wet weather - it's mostly mud. With 3 dogs - the mud ends up in the house, so we put down straw to cut down on how much mud is brought into the house.
My partner figures if we are going to clean off the patio, to put the furniture, to make room from more stuff cleaned off the porch - we might as well rake up the straw, till up the area around the patio and lay down grass seed...
