They're making a movie of "Mamma Mia"!
With Meryl Streep (as Donna), Pierce Brosnan (as Sam), Julie Walters, Christine Baranski...

When I first heard about the play I thought it was the stupidest thing I ever saw. Then I was dating a guy who was REALLY into ABBA, and we went to see the play.

I loved it!

I saw it a second time, and I STILL loved it!

This is gonna be great!

4. We'll probably go see it...
I think one of the first times it occured to me that paisley and I might be "the ones" for each other was when it turned out that we were probably the only two straight people in America in 1983 who would admit to being ABBA fans.

6. 'Bout the silliest excuse for a musical, EVAR.
ABBA's lyrics were so featherweight that they fit the so-called plot well enough.

7. I've never seen it.
I adore ABBA...and yet I've never, ever seen it.

Well, might as well wait for the movie.

11. Okay, I love Meryl Streep ("Death Becomes Her")...
But I hope the case can pull this movie off.

Having seen 5 movies starring Pierce Brosnan, I have come to the well-educated conclusion he's a mannequin with good hair.

13. Whatever happened to Stage Musicals with ORIGINAL BOOKS?
"Sweeney Todd"?
"Candide"?
all of Rogers and Hammerstein?
all of Lehner and Lowe?
Merideth Wilson? ("The Music Man")

THERE is some SERIOUS ENTERTAINMENT.
