Have you ever been hit on by a celeb?
Feel like 'fessing up? You don't have to name names if you'd rather not, just describe what happened as you remember it. I'm up for a juicy story this fine evening.

1. Frequently...but folks you could barely call celebs
In college--bored and lonely stand-up comics and musicians and such. I was on the entertainment committee and so had to babysit them before and after they performed (be nice, fetch them dinner, etc.)--it was just a given they would hit on you. (No, never fell for it, BTW.)

Another time...not hit on, but it was funny...on a plane to Boston, saw Adam Sandler and Tim Meadows when they were just background guys/bit players on SNL. They were DYING to be recognized, but just to be pissy, my friend and I refused to do the run-up-and-ask-for-an-autograph thing.

Sigh. I am boring.

2. Matt Sorum (drummer for GnR, Cult, Velvet Revolver) once
showed me his "tour photobook" that had lots of skin in it. I knew what he was getting at though. Freak.

Lex Lugar (pro wrestler) once told me that I had great legs. We were working in on the calf press machine, but I don't think that had anything to do with it.

58. Oh no...not Matt. Definitely not a metro sexual.
I worked at a recording studio that G n' R used to record at (They recorded "Appetite for Destruction" there.)

Anyhow, G n' R was in our studio recording "Sympathy for the Devil" for the movie Interview with a Vampire. It happened to be around Matt's birthday so some strippers were brought in. I heard from someone at the session that Matt personally saw to it that every stripper was "taken care of."

Nope...definitely not a metrosexual.

24. He is very nice.
I met/hung out with him during the Sonic Temple (Cult) tour. It was right before he went over to GnR. I saw him at a drum expo, and I went up for the usual autograph. He actually remembered me based on something I was wearing. He even remembered the where/when. I thought it was pretty cool that the drummer for Guns N Roses actually remembered meeting me.

A B-list English actor once told me I had great tits.

A semi-famous 80's college basketball player invited me to his hotel room after an interesting series of events (didn't go- he was married and I was underage and knew better).

I once had an unusual relationship with some dude who's been on the Discovery Channel.

Oh, and William Rivers Pitt once said he liked my stockings.

Now I prefer grandkids of celebrities from the 40's. ;)

It was a cool Summer evening and I was riding in my Rolls Royce with the windows rolled down. I was in a hurry to get to Studio 54 to meet up with my buds. As we passed near Central Park I saw Cameron Diaz strolling in a beautiful floral print with laced neckline. She saw me and ran to greet me, all smiles and squeals of delight. She came over and asked for a ride. How could I say no?

On the way to the studio she started eying me from head to toe in a way that made me feel naked in my Armani suit. She slid toward me and when she put her arm around my neck...

...the alarm clock went off and I had to get up and go to work.

32. very minor celeb
in college Spiro Gira (sp) came to campus. I really liked their music. A friend had a "press pass" for an interview for the college paper. I got to go along, back stage. After the show, I ran into the lead (who had been interviewed) at the local bar - and the guy started hitting on me - he was at least 10 (prolly 20) years older than me... and I was rather grossed out by the whole "my wife doesn't understand me" schtick.

38. No, but my brother (a bartender in L.A.) does frequently.
Without naming names, one of them (an Oscar winning actress) asked him to walk her across the street to a premier. He did. She was really, I mean REALLY nice to him, he went back to work. About 6 months later she married a (guess what) bartender and they now have two children. My brother kind of kicks himself over it.

Tito Puente - a man my grandfather's age!

I went to see him perform with Celia Cruz at the Blue Note in NYC. After the show, I was approached by a man who said that Tito wanted to meet me. I went with the guy, but not without grabbing my mom too, and then Tito tried to put the moves on me - in front of my mom. Now granted, I was 22 at the time, but nonetheless, you would think he would keep it together when I was obviously not interested, and with my mom to boot.

57. Sally Fields
She didn't hit on me so much as stared at me really, really hard, like she knew me, and expected me to speak up. This about 25 years ago.

I was at the back table at Musso & Franks in Hollywood with a group of friends, and she was waiting in line to use the ladies room. Yes, even she had to wait.

A friend dated Shirley from Laverne and Shirley.

Another friend dated Dede Cohn, who was in "Grease" and "Light Up My Life"

yet another friend was at a bar in New York when Jean Claude Van Damme tried to get her girlfriend to come up to his hotel room.

and I've seen lots of celebs, but never hit on by any. I once escorted Jenny Garth during her temporary fame in "Beverly Hills 90210" down the aisle in a church, arm in arm. Up close she was ..... gorgeous. Flawless, actually. I think her 15 minutes is over, though.

60. I've typically been so oblivious that I wouldn't have realized, but
Vanity once held my hand. It was years ago, at a private party for a music icon who just recently died...there weren't that many people there and just before she left for the night she came over to me and just held my hand (squeezed my arm, or something, too...all my perception was focused on the fact that she was holding my hand) while one of the other guests was speaking about the guest of honor. I don't know why she came up to me -- we'd all been in the room for quite a while and had pretty much all said hi to each other (it was an even mix of famous people, mostly from music, and the people behind the scenes and bodyguards, with me and part of my family-by-marriage there because my father-in-law had put the thing together) -- or why she chose to grab my hand and hold and squeeze it. But Vanity held my hand, and that was good enough for me...it was tempting to never wash it again. Nowadays I might see that as something that might have led to something (and, of course, I'd second-guess myself with "naaaahhhhh"), but back then I probably thought something along the lines of "gosh, that pretty lady is friendly!"). :D

Ahhhhh...Vanity. :loveya:

Vanity:

My left hand, the one that She touched:

She really was stunningly beautiful in person, more so even than in the photos I'd seen of her.

In another country, I was definitely hit on by a male, almost three times my age, who was a famous dude in that country. He'd actually been classmates with my uncle but I never met him until I was selected for a TV show and went to his hotel room (he was the show's producer). He was older, rich, and extremely insistent that I meet him back in his room later for dinner and drinks (my "I don't drink," that's cost me who knows how many nice times with women over the years, fell on deaf ears) and it made me very uncomfortable. It was no particular secret he was gay, but he was basically guilty of sexual harassment in this instance and I didn't especially appreciate it.

Since working in Vegas, I've received some major flirtatious attention from a few women who impersonate celebrities. :D

My most precious moment to date involves a Dolly Parton impersonator who was trying to fix my macramé belt as we rode down together in an elevator (hey, she'd already seen me in my underwear a few times, in the room where I got dressed)...I told the people looking on "do you mind? We're having a moment here." Alas, that's as intimate a moment as we ever had. :D

Oh and I kissed a Tina Turner impersonator. Nothing passionate, 'cos I was only warming up for the real thing...where are you, Tina? :loveya:

And I've been hit on by some DU celebrities. Not enough, though. And mostly in my dreams... :-)
