I walked to the post office (it is hot out there today! :o), mailed a package, drove to the store, picked up potting soil, some pots, a new suet feeder and suet, and now I am going to transplant some herbs, clean my apartment, hang the suet feeder for the birds, and paint my toenails. :)

I had to get up at a reasonable hour so the alarm guy could come by and give me my estimate, but I haven't got anything pressing to do other than that.

But I live in a College town. In 15 days 10% of the population goes back home. Rent for apartments drops 33% during the summer. And they rent to anyone. My sister said she would co-sign. I should have my pick of places. They are desperate right now. It would be impossible for me to find a place in September.

I'm going to try to get this guy's new laptop working properly, and if I have time I'm going to bolt a new "network attached storage" device into the rack. I'm going to call up telco and hassle them about the new circuit. I'm going to try to document some functions so they get taken care of during my vacation. Then I'm going to this corporate whore cocktail hour at 4:30 which precedes a corporate whore dinner at 5:30ish.

For the dinner, I'm wearing my four-button black Kenneth Cole suit, the pants of which my freshly svelte belly will again accommodate, making me happy that I don't have to buy a new suit. Also, the trousers of my three-button charcoal suit are being repaired as I type, making me even happier, since I want to wear that one to a wedding down in the Bay area in June.

Trying to work in the garden in between rain showers. I managed to fertilize my flowers so the rain can work it's magic on them. I didn't get much weeding done though.
