6. Remember the hope that we had back in November?
The hope that everything would change?

Here's the lord and master of our party, according to some DUer's...Holy Joe Lieberman. We should all bow before him in order to appease the mighty Joe!!!
That hope has been pissed on, shit on, and spat on.
So much for hoping things would change.

7. Oh, I Never Had Any Such Hopes
I've known there are sellouts in our ranks for a long time.

I happen to be sort of related to one as a matter of fact, watched him go from Dem, to indy, to Repub over a short period of time.

It is all about the game, the money, the power.

It is out of control.

42. i stayed calm, i write things out first so i don't get super emotional
i stay on my script with a bit of improvising. the minute you start yelling they stop listening. My nephew did a year in Afghanistan and 2 tours in Iraq and we don't when or where he's going next but every time he goes it feels more ominous than the time before and then telling my daughter "Johnny is going back to Iraq" and she just falls apart but i have to tell her and i just don't want to ever have to do that again.

32. Apparently they didn't listen to him
but then did anyone really think they would?

i've been around long enough to be a jaded cynic when it comes to the political game, it is a game to them, it isn't real, it's become surreal to many Americans, but to most, it is very real when the policies fuck us over.

Something like 70% of Americans think we should be out of Iraq.

Now we've sealed our fate by hanging with this failed prez.

:grr:

I'd be really mad, but my mad on this stuff is about gone.

I'd be mad all the time if I got mad about it much.

I vote, I always vote. I pay my taxes. I do my part, I could do more, but dammit, I don't believe we have a system that is working the way it was intended to work.

It is not a fucking career path to be a politician, or it was never intended to be. Until we fix that part, we will be electing those who could take either side of an argument, going to the highest bidder.

:grr:
