Just e-mailed Barbara Walters. Hate to see Rosie go.
But if they have to replace her could we please have Whoopie.

Otherwise I won't watch anymore. Only one left that I like is Joy and she doesn't say that much.

1. I agree with your sentiment BUT
At this point I think the show is ridiculous. It would be career suicide for Whoopi, Roseanne or anyone else who took the job. It wouldn't kill their career but it would kill their spirit. No matter who sits in that chair, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is going to be screaming her crazy Republican bullshit and whoever the counter point is (Roseanne, Whoopi) will be on Entertainment Tonight being slayed just like Rosie was.
I hope the show TANKS.

They are catering to Elisabeth Hasselback and having her spout the Republican talking points. The Executive Producer meets with Elisabeth AND ONLY ELISABETH each morning
to brief her on things to say each day. Not to mention the fact that Barbara tells the View girls that they can not talk about certain issues that pertain to HER friends.

The show is past its prime and so is Barbara Walters.

2. You are probably right. I just hate to see that happen to Rosie.
I just love her - big mouth and all.

3. I feel the same way. Rosie is so colorful and opinionated; but she's also rich, with a partner and
four gorgeous kids...

More power to her; she's retiring early and on to better things than a daily show.

We'll still see her around here and there.

Barbara's a smart cookie; I'll bet she'll choose someone good.

I don't know why I feel I should write you. I just feel like I should say something about Rosie leaving (fired) the View.

I'm not even a Rosie fan. I've seen the clip of the fight and Rosie touched a deep nerve with her hurt about being portrayed as someone who thinks the troops are terrorists. I think Rosie was truly hurt by the right-wing spin. I am a moderate who wonders how much good we are really doing with our troops harm's way. These attacks by the right-wing are attacks against all people who question. Like it or not, Elizabeth was joining in those attacks against Rosie.

I noticed you were snuggled up with Elizabeth yesterday on your show and it was obvious who you felt was at fault. There are all kinds of articles out there about letting Elizabeth speak (People magazine) and your show does.

I'm glad that Rosie has left. I don't think being subjected those attacks by the right-wing and Elizabeth were good for her mental health. You should probably think about getting rid of Joy too. Elizabeth finds it necessary to talk over everyone and you would have a much nicer show without that. It could be called Barbara and Elizabeth's View. Joy made a good point about crossfire going off the air.

Sorry for the sarcasm at the end, but I feel better now.

This really bothers me...don't know why. It's one of those gut reactions. I not even a Rosie fan.
