Got started late, but have already made some money...and that beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick any day :silly:

Am bored. Will be doing this again tomorrow EARLY and only for the AM, and then whatever is left either goes to Goodwill or will be sold on eBay. Cleaned my garage yesterday and collected a lot of cool things to sell on eBay, so will be doing that after my trip.

I get to take a road trip in 4 days!! :woohoo:

One of the many reasons I never have garage sales. People pull up in their frickin' Lexus SUV looking to buy everything I have for $1.

Much better to give it to Goodwill.


I have a friend who swears by garage sales. Gets up early every Saturday and goes looking. She does get some great stuff, but I'd rather sleep in and enjoy a second cuppa joe.

10. Just sold two urn planters

Both in excellent like new condition, had $5 ea. on them, cost me about $20 new, and these are heavy-duty plantars.

The guy who wanted them asked if I'd take $5 for both. I just said what I paid for them originally and that $5 each is a great deal. he paid me the $5 each. ;)

Am not a garage-saler either, but I want this stuff gone. And the money can be used for food or gas on my trip.

Geez...have now made about $50...just enough to put about 3/4 gas in the tank :eyes:

Last year those guys saved me some work. They took everything off out hands three hours after we started

13. I didn't advertise, and started LATE today

There are other sales in the neighborhood, so I just put a few signs. Around here, this town is too small that anyone would drive up and offer a flat fee for all. Have had that happen in Tucson and in Carson City, but doubt that would ever happen here in this little farming town.

I've gone to lots of garage sales, and I've yet to find anyone willing to actually sell me their garage. I think it's all bait-and-switch tactics. :cry:

Am driving to Oklahoma City, where I grew up, to see my lifetime best friend of 50 years. Then, to Tucson on the way back to see friends and trade some Interior Design for Web Design. Will have computer with me, so will be updating about my life while on the road. :hi: :loveya: :pals:
