Aargh! My Bowie concert's the night of the NH Primaries
I've mentioned before that I have front row seats to see David Bowie this month at San Jose Arena. It's been a near life-long dream to do this (i've seen him plenty of times, but never first row).

I just noticed today it's the same day as the NH primaries! Arrgh... my political junkiness slams into my Bowie fanaticism!

bowie wins, though, of course. But I'll on my boyfriend's internet-enabled phone between acts (the opener is Macy Gray!)

sigh

1. I've seen him twice and I promise you won't be missing much
His records are awesome, his concerts suck more than anyone could expect.

I'll never pay to see him ever again. I like his new album, and my favorite of all time is still Ziggy Stasrdust and the Spiders from Mars, although Heroes is still a huge favorite as well.

8. That Ziggy album takes me WAY back
It always hits me and takes me out of whatever I'm doing when it comes up on my MP3 server. Heroes does that too. Ahh, my old college days in Edinburgh :) Bowie is one of my all time favorite musicians too. I was loath to walk out of the 9 Inch Nails concert, but he was so damn lame on stage and his "show" consisted of some falling drapes. I felt sorry for him as I thought he was over, finished, washed up.

Now he brings out a new album and it's fucking great, as usual :)
