I'm sick...And it sucks...
I've got this thing. Don't really know what it is. It's kinda like a cold, but I have a fever, horrible cough, weakness. It totally sucks. Help me get better, please? I think I might go to the university doctor today, but until then...help!?

1. You "might" go?
Go, Duckie.

Meantime, hot tea with lemon and/or chicken soup. You may not feel like it but you must eat. "Feed a cold."

3. So basically, if it's the flu, then why go to the Dr?
HE'll just tell me to stay in bed and drink fluids. Antibiotics don't work for the flu...

7. Because of the word "IF."

Bronchitis could be under those symptoms... pneumonia... not to alarm you. I just find it best (for me, anyway) to get checked out even if I'm pretty sure I know what it its.

11. There's something the doctor can prescribe to make the symptoms
more bearable and possibly shorten the illness. Can't think of the name of the stuff, but you have to start taking it the first day or so of the flu. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

You can cut a few days off it but you have to get this prescription right away. It's called Tamiflu.

8. There are antivirals
...that are prescription-only, and are pretty neato. They need to be administered very early on in the process, and they will cut down your suffering (and you will suffer, my friend) by several days. But your Doc can tell you if it's in the nick of time, or not.

Go! :bounce:

He gave me a script for bactrim and he gave me some little pills called allerX. And I'm drinking a lot of clear liquids. Go me. I never do this. The only think keeping me going right now is having DU to goof off on...Luckily this chair is comfy as heck and I have slept in it several times sans neck cramps.
