Thinly disguised reference to DU

Hello DUers. Some of you have seen my political cartoons. They started as an offshoot of another comic I have been doing for quite some time now, a political cartoon of a different sort...HOO Cares! It is about a family clinic taken over by a giant for-profit heath care concern, itself swallowed up by the mega International Cheese & Tobacco conglomerate. Write your local newspaper and tell them you want to see it daily!

Anyway, my newest strip is just posted, and I think some DUers may see themselves in this one. Maybe, just a guess. (The character in this strip is the Director of Medicine at HOO Cares! (the first Health Optimization Organization).

I live vicariously through my comics. Shhh...don't tell anyone, but I still use an old G3 iMac DV. Funny thing is, with a ton of ram and Panther installed, it still is a great machine, and leaves me little to complain about. But need to sell this damn comic so I can finally upgrade!

It's the sort of thing people will be drawn to read even if it's not funny, like Nancy or Henry, simply because it's so easy to look at.

PU (Political underground as in Pee-Uuuuu that stinks) is seen by the wife as worse than porn. I see the alternate of the Husband going against the grain... but worse than porn?

My original text was more explicit..."Maybe if you'd surf porn like normal men, you'd come to bed with a better attitude." But a lot of people view politics as dirty. That's just a fact of life.

Look at the expression on his face. It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. I spend plenty of time here on DU myself. This character is not an alter-ego or anything, just the one character in my comic strip with a history of computer use in his story lines. Since the whole strip is political in nature, DU -- or PU -- was a natural reference.

Thanks for your pov on the strip. It can be an eye-opener seeing how one idea is interpreted by lots of different people!
