So, I have an advanced copy of Harry Potter.
Good news: I am reading it. Bad news: I love the series, I'm sad to see it end (it started when I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL fer gawd's sake!)...but sweet zombie jesus Rowling can't write her way out of a paper bag now :( Her writing seems to have gotten progressively worse as the series matured... Love of adverbs = bad.

2. lol I'm only 50 pages in
I think Harry dies, just because of the link between him and Voldemort.

I noticed it in the last book too. You'd think she'd go out in with a flourish for this one.

8. She repeats the same phrases, which is sometimes annoying.
Such as Harry "instantly recognizing" such and such.

9. I've found all of her books interesting, and that's what counts
She's not a perfect writer - she does use the same descriptions a lot - but she's doing something right to envelop me in the series so much.

11. Yes, absolutely. She's a great storyteller but not a good writer.
But I can't wait to purchase my book on CD. :D

In the current Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King says that he couldn't get an advanced copy of the latest Harry Potter book. Great that you did, though!

13. I'm offline starting July 20th
so I can avoid spoilers. I'll go back online after I finish the book.

15. you know the Scholastic police will soon be at your door!
 I for one, will have to wait until it is delivered to the house on the 21st since I have no book contacts. Just don't tell us what happens.
