One way or the other, don't let it happen to you

Arnold Wayne Sanderson quit his job at a dairy plant two decades ago, after working there in his late teens and through his 20s. But even years later he continued to nurse a furious resentment toward former colleagues he believed had persecuted him.
Now 50, the man teased as a child for stuttering admits he veered his Jeep Cherokee onto the sidewalk to murder Shawn Gary Smith, one of those former colleagues, who was struck from behind last year while jogging near his home not far from the dairy.

Sanderson was shaking badly when emergency crews arrived, his arms so rigid his hands had to be pried off the steering wheel. His dentures were found on the dash.
Smith "never saw it coming, literally or figuratively," government attorney Valerie Moore, who prosecuted Sanderson for second-degree murder, said in a sentencing hearing in Prince Edward Island Supreme Court in Charlottetown on Wednesday.
"This is a bizarre and terribly tragic case, it appears that the accused's perception became a reality for him. He fixated and obsessed upon it for two decades, to the point that he destroyed not only his own life, but the life of another human being."
