Holy Crap, Total Whiteout, can't even see across the street!!

We live in one of those 'persistent lake snow bands'. It's been snowing pretty hard all morning, but the wind just pick up and all I see out the window is white and our big pine tree in the yard. My husband put out the garbage tote at 11ish and there is almost a foot of snow on top of it. He just got home and I asked how the roads were. He said, "Don't know, couldn't see 'em!" Yikes. Glad he's home, now we wait for the bus to bring my son home.

It never got bad here in Milwaukee so far its an inch or so of nice clean whiteness.
