The dilemma of age vs. marijuana
When I was 18, everybody could get it, but I had no money. Now that I'm middle-aged, I have the money, but nobody can find any.

I have a dream that someday, the insane prohibition against pot in this country will come to an end. People will be able to walk down to the corner store and buy a pack of Maui Wowie Lights, or Strawberry Cough, and burn one as they walk home, and no one's eyebrows will raise in the slightest. Good people who have worked hard all week will be indulgently smiled upon as they act a little goofy and eat lots of cheetos on the weekend. Our formerly puritanical culture will be a thing of the past, banished as a fading remnant of ignorant hypocrisy. I have a dream today...

1. It's gonna take a new generation of politicians
This bunch is too afraid of losing votes on this "hot-button" issue. :eyes:

5. Puritanical is right.
I totally agree. This country has got to get past the social constraints put upon us by the puritans living here.

6. move to chicago
can't buy it at the convenience store, but you can often get it outside. pretty defacto legal. mayor daley has told the cops that he doesn't want cook county jail over crowded with pot smokers. has tried to get a little action on the state level, as well.

8. Enlightened government
Or semi-enlightened. I like that. Too bad it's so far away.

9. enlightened on many fronts.
has done so much to help the arts flourish here, to make the city beautiful, to improve the schools, and have really been taking renewable energy seriously. city hall has a green roof!
but otherwise good dems still hate him because he hasn't managed to repeal human nature and banish vice and greed. sigh.

I suppose, though, it's better than getting drunk.

12. There is an alternative to buying it.

I had to give the stuff up due to employer drug testing, I should get drunk every night and show up hung-over every morning. They don't mind if you do that apparently.

13. Dude there is reefer everywhere
I'm stoned right now so excuse they typos. I was 18 in 75, and there is more and better reefer around than then. If you have younger relatives get to know them better, they'll fix your head.:hi:
