which musical DUer can I blame?
The past few months I've been listening mostly to jazz and classical on my subway ride, but the past few days I've been listening to King Crimson exclusively at TOP volume.
Talk talk it's only talk.
Who's to blame. Fess up. I know it's someone here.

1. Elephants! Blame elephants
Not the Repuke elephants; real elephants.
Real elephants are awesome, but in your case they are also
to blame.

4. Hadn't thought of elephants
and all those associations.
Hmmmm.... I did watch a Fellini film filled with elephants just before this Crimson addiction reappeared.

2. Turn down the volume before you mess up your hearing.
Don't say you weren't warned.
Try some blues or soul music for a change.

3. I'm not worried
top volume on headphones that don't produce much volume to begin with.
You can hear the train over them.
Any damage I did to my ears, I did 25 years ago when I was living with a blues soul band.
Blues music is not always quiet I'm sure you know!
I just saw James Blood Ulmer playing the blues a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty loud.

5. I have lousy left ear hearing
most likely from playing.
Of course I'm middle-aged too, 54. But I remember certain incidences of feedback that were very painful on stage. Ouch....
