Anyone have a favorite online mortgage place?
We're thinking about refinancing, been playing around on eLoan (you know, for the mileage points) and Quicken.com. Anyone have any others they like?

3. the best known site is:
www.bankRate.com ...

the list all the available companies and rates ... be very careful though ... most of what gets advertised on the .net isn't exactly what it appears to be ... there are almost always hidden fees and undisclosed terms ...

make anyone you're dealing with send you a disclosure statement (or whatever it's called) ...

i often find i can do better at a local bank than i can with many of the "you can't beat our rates" places ...

the best advice: shop around ... there are no magic places that can provide rates much different than "the going rate" ...

5. Quicken
Absolutely A+++. We refinanced twice and bought a house using Quicken.

7. NO NO NO. Do NOT surf for a mortgage online!!! BAD BAD BAD BAD idea
ESPECIALLY if you apply at one of those "we do the work for you to get you the lowest rate" places.

Scores of companies spamulate your credit report plunging your FICO into the crapper.

Instead, talk to my gals here, who can take VERY good care of you.

Tell them tracey sent you.

This is Sandy's email address. She'll put you in touch with her daughter who is the EMPRESS of The Best Mortgage Refinance Deals. Straight up, no fuss, no muss, bing, bang boom, DONE.

Her Email Addy is
