The 3-month-old beagle, named Beagle Boy by one of his new caretakers, suffered burns that stripped the fur and flesh from much of his small body. Someone, it appeared, doused him with acid or hot oil, Paterson's chief animal control officer, John DeCando, said.

1. I hate to say this, but this is becoming a disturbingly common practice.
I've heard at least a dozen stories like this in the last year. The people that do it are usually bored kids that in the past, might've done some other mischief. They've just ramped it up to animal cruelty.

3. That poor thing...
 I can't believe people do this crap. I hope that sweet dog (and the others like him, of which there are far too many) will be OK.

6. I read about that in the Bergen Record. Made me nearly flip out.
That poor beagle.

Hopefully, someone will turn in the piece of human garbage who did this.
