DU Parents: Does your kids wailing and crying ever drive a nerve up your spine?

And make you want to jump out the window just to stop hearing that noise???

Tavernertot is sick, and when she gets sick, she gets pissy. Really fucking pissy.

So despite all our efforts to make her comfy, she doesn't want any of it. So she's screaming at the top of her lungs, and I'm wishing my office was soundproofed.

1. Yes...earplugs my friend...
I had earplugs because little MB was colicky and it would make me want to curl up and die. Her dad was a superstar, and would just take her to the other side of the house and sit with her until she wore herself out crying, but I could still hear it.

2. Now how can you say that!
Children are precious and should be thought of as blessings. Cherish each day, each whine, each snotty nose, each demand for a popsicle, each declaration of boredom, each...

wait...

What the hell am I saying?

:silly:

Really, I was there last week...three days with a sick kid home from school. I'm just now recovering.

4. Yes Caitlin Flannagan :)
Last week wifey had to deal with the other kid at home, sick and driving her bonkers. Oh, and during this time I was in Vegas for our Sales Conference. Paybacks are a bitch :(

3. My Jack's the only one in our household who does that.

If he screams, he goes in his room.

5. I have no suggestions for you but maybe it'll help to know
that the wailing is easier to deal with when they're young. Nothing is worse than a wailing teenager.

6. It got on my last nerve once or twice...
my first was colicky, and sometimes after a sleepless night I'd be a little short on patience. Eventually we'd both get some sleep, though, and all would be right as rain afterward. :)

Hang in there...
