Question about Journals
The DU journal idea is awesome, but I don't understand whether or not I can make an entry without posting it to a forum. Some things I would like to write in my journal are really not worth posting. Can this be a personal journal, or does it have to be comprised of entries I post on the messageboard.

Sorry for being so dense about this subject. My feeble mind can't grasp it yet.

1. You have to post it to a forum first, BUT
Jamaestiene came up with the brilliant idea of starting an all-purpose journal thread. It was immensely popular, and you could post whatever you want in it.

3. Thank you for the explanation.
The Journal only thread sounds brilliant. That would be a great way to develop a personal journal without taking up DU bandwidth on personal things.

4. Just start a Livejournal and link it in your sig if you want a personal journal that DUers can read.
