Some pictures of our new place.
These are just pictures of the living room really. The bedroom isn't quite done yet, but I'll post pictures when it is finished. The kitchen and bathrooms are pretty typical and I'll spare you the toilet pictures. :)

This is the couch that I do all my DUing from. It's a craigslist couch...thanks Katie!

This is the entertainment center and television. You can also see the stairs leading up to the bedrooms.

Our fireplace!!! :bounce::bounce::bounce: The giant mirror over the fireplace is standard in all of the townhouses where we are, so we softened it up quite a bit using greenery and flowered garland. I'm so glad I had them before we moved here. You can also see into the dining room a bit, which in our house happens to be the music room. Basses, guitar, keyboard, and piano when we move it in from the garage.

This is my most favorite area. I call it the reading area, but it's mostly because that's where the bookcases I have are. I definitely need bigger bookcases.

I really love it here. There is so much less stress here. We've met a few of the neighbors and they are very friendly. It's so quiet and peaceful. This whole move has made a world of difference in my outlook and personality. I don't feel near as angry, depressed, or anxious. I really really love our new digs, and I wanted to share with everyone!

Have an awesome day and you are all welcome to come over and toast marshmallows in the fireplace any time you want! :hi::grouphug:

8. It is a huge relief.
Don't forget the post grad school student loan payments. :eyes:

We apparently have a roommate living here, but you'd never know it. Zodiak's best friend is living in the second bedroom. He is either at work (managing a convenient store) or asleep upstairs. It's like he doesn't even live here...until it's dinner time. He has an uncanny ability to sense when dinner is ready.

Mostly okay.
I've been fighting a migraine since about 10pm last night, so I'm being quiet and anti-social right now. I'm hobbling more than usual because of the weather. But I'm in a suprisingly good mood despite it all. :P

The weather is getting cold here, too. I'm crocheting my roommate a scarf. I'm sure he would like me to be done with it already.

Stay warm.

I live off of Smokey Row just north of 270. I can see 270 right out the window where I'm sitting now.

30. You live down the street from where I used to work.
Edited on Fri Nov-09-07 05:35 PM by hippywife
I used to work on Farmer's Drive and lived in Dublin. I moved away just over 10 years ago and my old company moved away from there to Corporate Exchange Dr some time ago.

They must be putting up that style of apartment all around that north area. My sister lives off of Lazelle.

33. I have noticed a lot of townhouses like this around here.
I mean identical. It would be easy to get lost at night around here.

I really love being one road away from Sawmill. It's got everything. I noticed a Trader Joe's just the other day! :woohoo:

34. I was up there three weeks ago...
and saw that, too. I didn't get to go in and, of course, we don't have any of them in Oklahoma. Rats!

Is Sumeno's still over there? I used to love to go there! They had pretty good pasta and pizzas. Oh, and Panzerra's, Rotollo's, and Iacono's! I miss good pizza!

And good wings like Gibby's and Roosters!

I did have a wonderful dinner at Haiku's and dessert and coffee at Cup O' Joe's in the Short North one night while I was there.

Didn't get to go everywhere I would have wanted to. I do really miss having good restaurants.

32. Thank you,
I actually used them as picture frames for posters and prints that I had. I would just hang them across the top drape them down the sides. It also puts a splash of nature in the room, which I always think is nice. :)

bows of holly. I love it. That reminds me of it. And yes it does bring nature into the room.

Nice floor plan. I like those half walls, like the one your TV stand is against. Reminds me of a home we had when I was growing up. I used to hide in the stairwell and listen to my parents talk! lol :hi:
