1. I like to use Orbitz
Mainly because there's a "search one day before and after" feature that's helpful for finding cheap fares if your dates are somewhat flexible

www.orbitz.com

Good luck!

5. I've been traveling a lot for work and like Travelocity.
YOu can pick and choose the arriving and departing flights to fit your schedule, while having a better idea about the cost.

6. I haven't really found much difference in the travel sites...

Orbitz, Travelocity, and the like... I guess if I had to pick one, I'd go with Orbitz- if only because their website navigations seems to be easier to handle.

9. Home for Christmas from college......
How utterly Norman Rockwell!!!!

I went to university in my hometown, so I didn't get that experience! Best of luck in the arrangements!

11. www.kayak.com
By FAR the cheapest flights. As far as airlines, check Southwest and AirTran.

13. I really like AirTran

As far as no-frills carriers go (though honestly with domestic flights they're all no frills anymore,) I think they have the nicest gates and planes. And their staff is better than average, in my experience.

Yes, he is coming home from college. Yes, very Norman Rockwell. My whole extended family is planning a big Christmas Eve party for him. Again thank you!
