One of our secretarys was fired for stealing cash.
And,this is the second time she's been caught, the boss gave her a break a year ago,he just told us. WTF. It was $50 per week, and it showed up in an audit.

1. Is he going to file charges?
She'll just go elsewhere and do the same thing. Several years ago, I worked with some people who did that kind of stuff and even though they lost their jobs, no charges were ever brought. I always wondered about the next job they got, whether some unsuspecting employer had to go through the same thing.

4. Sometimes they volunteer the info.
It's difficult to ask about it when you're taken by surprise that it happened.

I got to the courthouse and the case immediately preceding the one we were there for was winding down and the defendant was given her sentencing..

She had been convicted earlier of embezzlement. But here's what floored me.

She was allowed to keep her job as an accountant so she could continue to pay restitution.

Restitution I undersand. But what client in their right mind would hire her as an accountant? :wtf:
