Weird. I'm not sure what to think.
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 02:23 PM by ThomCat
I was in my Pain Management doctor's office. I needed refills of prescriptions. He's reviewing my records, and he asked me

"So, when was the last time you were able to work?"

:wtf:
When I have lost so much function and I am so visibly disabled that my pain management doctor just Assumes I must not still be working, should I be worried?

BTW: I still work full time, plus. I still look and dress professionally. I went to that appointment from the office on my lunch hour.

Edit to correct my spelling. Thank you BillySkank. :)

1. I'm not sure what to make of it either.
It could be a sort of compliment. Or not. I dunno. Oh well.

P.S. I used to spell weird like that too. :hi:

3. It's "i before e, except after c!" God dammit!
So, that is the correct way to spell "wierd". It's the dictionary that's wrong!!

8. Flaxbee is a wonderful, awesome person
who knew someone here in NYC who knew someone who can help me. :)

Natalia (the woman who can help me with cleaning) can't come over for two weeks, so I'm on my own for a bit. But after that, if all goes well, I'm covered.
:woohoo:

I'm not sure I have all that much strength. I think I'm just bull-stuborn. :P

12. There is a vague family resemblance
but my doctor is one of the best regarded pain management doctors in Manhattan, so I doubt there's much professional resemblance. :silly:

You can handle more than most, and it shows.

that we all find a way to handle whatever we're forced to handle.

We all deal with our lives because we really don't have any other choice.

I've been going to him for 6 years now. It's weird that he'd only ask me that now.
