A large state west of New Jersey, a Personal Attack, or a Prince Albert.

30. Professional Association?
That's what MDs in Florida call themselves when they incorporate for tax purposes. I think it's funny, because a PA is also a Physician's Assistant, and no doc wants to mistaken for one of those. There's obviously something wrong when a corporation pays less tax than a human being making the same amount of money.

I think in the context you mean it's a "personal attack" though.

So what's a "GA"? One thread got locked with a reference to one, and I don't think they meant the state directly North of me.

Edited on Thu Dec-06-07 01:24 AM by Radio_Lady
The OP (that was me) asked for "that thread" to be locked HOURS ago.

That innocent thread from the other night about a neighbor's interest in a downed tree became radioactive before I put that little phrase up. I added the sarcasm icon to complete the thought.

For your information, the only time I've ever heard that phrase was in 1940s and 1950s Western movies! Why bring it up again?

Please don't dump on another DUer. Someday, you may be the dumpee!

Personal attack = PA

42. Whoa...what?
:wtf: I wasn't calling anybody out, Radio_Lady - I was simply asking what the abbreviation "GA" meant and providing a frame of reference for the term. I don't know how that could be construed as "calling out," but if it came across that way I'm sorry - that was not my intention at all.

44. OK. I understand.
This has been just a rotten day for poking and prodding me. I am pretty much at the end of my rope.

However, in searching the forum since I got home from a Chanukah celebration, it looks as if you asked that question earlier and got at least most of the answer already.

4. I am locking this thread.

Calling out is referencing a DU member by starting a new thread about them or posting to another thread referencing said member.

Especially following a deleted flamewar or two.

Thank you for understanding
