HAHAHA! My poor republican brother!
It's not bad enough for him that my entire family are lifelong Democrats, but I just heard the best news EVER from my Mom!

Seems that my bro's wife called Mom a little while ago and asked her how to register to vote. She's never been interested before, but THIS year, she's going to secretly cancel out her husband's vote. AAHAHAHAHA! God, I'm crying this is so funny. She didn't want anyone to know about it, but Mom just HAD to call me and spill the beans.

Aw, damn, that's rich!

:D

3. Doesn't it feel great?
Last Christmas my cousin Chris (son of my aunt Donna, the only Republican in my family) admitted to me that when he turned 18 he planned on registering as a Democrat and asked me for info on how to do it. His birthday is in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see my aunt's reaction when she finds out .

4. It feels incredible.
Maybe I can even convince her to admit it openly. That would make for some interesting conversations at the homestead.

Note: My brother is really a great guy. Takes his lumps at family gatherings like a trooper, without yelling or pouting. He's very calm when talking politics and even polite. He's just....ill-informed. I haven't given up hope yet.

5. My sister told me
she is doing the same thing. On the sly she registered from a Repub to a Democrat. He hubby is a stupid Repub although a nice guy. I have converted over 10 people recently. I won't take all the bows for it because some made the decision on their own, but just talking about AWOL will do the trick.

6. Give a big welcome from all of us.
I'll never forget when my Democratic primary ballot came in the mail in 1980. My mom just :eyes: at me. (repug at the time)

Thank god it's all different now.

7. Perhaps you'll deliver Ohio after all!

That's fantastic news. Keep working on your brother. I'm feeling more optimistic already. :-)

8. I don't know about the whole of Ohio...
I'm positive that our little county will deliver the goods for the Democratic Party, though. We can only hope and work our asses off, I suppose. Ohio certainly would be a coup de gras, though. It was close last time, and we're bound to get record turnout this year, if EVERY other state so far can be counted as an indication.

NOTE TO BOOSH & COMPANY: We ain't staying home this year, dickheads. Get ready for it, Karl. We're going to bury you.
