Ex-Scores waitress files harass suit

Ex-waitress Francis Vargas is suing Manhattan strip joint Scores.

How to strike it rich at Scores: Pleasure the boss for money, don't be afraid to show off your assets and act like a "dumb blond."

At least that's what Francis Vargas, a former waitress at the famed Manhattan strip club, says in her harassment suit against the topless joint.

The suit charges that Scores managers repeatedly smacked Vargas on her rear end and accuses a manager identified only as Sammy of inviting her to give him oral sex for $500 if she wasn't happy with the money she was making.

"It doesn't matter if it's a strip club; the law is still the law," said lawyer Matthew Blit of the firm Levine & Blit. "And the law still applies."

7. I think she's doing the right thing.

Regardless of where she works, and regardless of what other people get paid to do there, her job was to be a waitress.

Nobody has a right to presure her into prostituting herself, and nobody has a right to grab her against her will. I hope she gets one hell of a settlement.

I have no problem with people choosing to do sex work. And even if they are coerced or forced by financial pressures into doing it I'm still sympathetic. People have to survive. But I have no tolerance for assholes who think everyone is a piece of meat, and then use coercion to make it true.
