12. asparagus is always my first choice, but I would eat any of those
on the list, or small amounts of all of them in a stirfry.

2. Peas - the frozen organic ones are good
I love asparagus but I don't know where you can get it fresh this time of year and frozen asparagus is HORRIBLE.

I like corn, too. Why isn't corn on your list? Are you against CORN? On the eve of the Iowa caucuses?

3. Mustard Greens with a heavy dose of hot sauce
or, in keeping with your poll, broccoli. I can't get enough veggies. How bout steamed brussel sprouts drizzled with butter and lemon juice?

7. She's serving scallops. Garlic and wine would kinda put the smack down
on those tasty morsels.

14. Not if she's making sea scallops
Bay scallops may be overwhelmed but the big scallops stand up to garlic and wine quite nicely.

11. Broccoli prevents cancer, so if you serve it, you can consider yourself
a hero.

By the way, don't cook it. Raw broccoli is healthiest.

Cheers.

15. Asparagus is nasty, and still hasn't admitted culpability for the war.
Zucchini and broccoli are equally nasty corporatist stooges, and sound foreign. Green beans and peas are certainly electable, but haven't we had enough of the same old vegetables? Go for the rhyme. Go for spinach.
