Spent the evening in a haze of coughing and body aches and a sore throat, and couldn't even get out of bed, much less go anywhere. I fell asleep after breaking down and taking half a generic Vicodin around 8:30 pm, and missed the "countdown to midnight" altogether. I woke up around 2:30 am, coughing, and took some Robitussin before laying back down and trying to sleep again. Some New Year's Eve. *sigh*
