How the hell did I miss out on Depeche Mode in high school?
I hold my best friend responsible for not enlightening me. For my 16th birthday she bought me a Rick Astley cassette instead of making me a mix tape of her DM albums...It's all her fault. She *said* we were best friends...

Just downloaded the essential basic DM from iTunes. I've got a helluva lot of catching up to do x(

1. I feel the same way about Fishbone...
...and not listening to the one jazz album in the house when I was little, a David Brubeck Quartet LP.

2. I saw Fishbone in the Student Union back in the 80's
Never heard of them.

They were touring with Soundgarden, or maybe the Chili Peppers, i think, and they did a free noon show.

Needless to say, I skipped class and was amazed.

3. Ooooh! Fishbone!!
I got one of those 12 tapes for a penny thingies in 1989ish and got "Truth and Soul" and it blew my little white mind. Didn't get to see them play until 1993 in Chicago, but DAYUM!! I'm still trying to convert my students with "Give a Monkey a Brain..."

4. Loved Depeche since high school...
Still do... the 'greatest hits' double-set rarely leaves the CD changer
